Ionized water, alkaline health, what’s that?  Well, that’s what friends, family, and coworkers were saying to me for 6 months before I retired.  Yes I said retirement; I just retired from the US Army after 20 years of proud service, more on that later

Why I Do This

It was my responsibility to see that my Soldiers were in great shape at all times.  When you have 25 – 50 people from all corners of the earth looking up to you for the answers to their fitness, I found that there was no better place to start then leading by example.   That’s where my knowledge of fitness and health started, hence my passion for helping others started too.

My level of fitness was always pretty good and I have made it a point to exercise and eat well for most of my life.  As a matter of fact I’m very proud that my enthusiasm and genuine zest for life has rubbed off onto my wife Jessica (married 17 years), two boys (Dennis 16) and (Carsten 11), and they now cycle, run, and exercise too.  You know, we often exercise together with family bike rides or other activities such as tennis or walks in the neighborhood; physical activity has become a great part of our life and we look forward to it.

Back to my job of taking care of Soldiers.  The Army has strict weight and body fat standards that are difficult for some to adhere too.  As a leader, if my Soldiers were not within “Army” standards it was my responsibility to develop an exercise program for each Soldier to see that they were able to pass the Physical Fitness Test and pass the weight and body fat standards.  I would also see to it that the Soldier would receive nutritional counseling.  So, as you can see, everyday of my life for the past 20 years had health and fitness in it from one degree to another.

Being able to work with you and provide a step in the right direction to a healthy life makes this more then a job.
